The Solar Light Ring is an appliance with twelve LED lights arranged in a circle
and controlled by a microchip, the mbed NXP LPC1768.
All of the lights are independently addressable and control of the lights
is accomplished by a simple binary code that can be programmed by the user or by algorithms.
The Light Ring includes an integral mp3 player
to supply audio along with the visual display.
The Light Ring uses very little power
supplied by a 12 volt battery
recharged by photovoltaics.
